AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, offers fall semester internships in several departments in its Washington, D.C. national headquarters.
AIPAC is seeking interns in the following departments:

Leadership Development – Communications and Research Interns
The Leadership Development Department works to engage America’s future policy makers and opinion leaders and to empower pro-Israel campus activists to be effective advocates within the American political process. The Leadership Development Department is also responsible for organizing numerous political training events across the country, in Washington, D.C., and in Israel.

The Communications and Research intern will produce training and advocacy and marketing materials for Leadership Development events. S/he will also regularly produce original content about AIPAC’s student program for the AIPAC Web site and AIPAC internal and external publication.

Candidates should have a passion for written communications, pro-Israel politics, and campus political activism. Ideal candidates possess technical aptitude and knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Quark, Photoshop, and Web content management systems.
Political
AIPAC’s Political Department works closely with staff from the Policy and Government Affairs department to mobilize AIPAC grassroots leadership on specific legislative action items. Political staff also track federal elections across the country, meeting with candidates for office and educating them about AIPAC’s agenda.

Policy and Government Affairs (PGA)
PGA is responsible for all lobbying efforts, both on Capitol Hill and with the Administration. The staff interacts extensively with Members of Congress, their staffs, and Administration officials. In their capacity as AIPAC lobbyist, PGA staff is responsible for advocating on behalf of AIPAC’s agenda to this audience. The department is also responsible for research on a variety of topics related to AIPAC’s work of strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.

To apply: Complete the online application at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=X_2bm58wum_2bv2ljy_2fqYiUNSA_3d_3d and email a copy of your current resume in Word or PDF format to jbaime@aipac.org. If you have any questions about this opportunity, please email AIPAC National Field Director Jacob Baime at jbaime@aipac.org.

About AIPAC

For more than half a century, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee has worked to help make Israel more secure by ensuring that American support remains strong. From a small pro-Israel public affairs boutique in the 1950s, AIPAC has grown into a 100,000-member national grassroots movement described by The New York Times as “the most important organization affecting America’s relationship with Israel.”
As America’s leading pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC works with both Democratic and Republican political leaders to enact public policy that strengthens the vital U.S.-Israel relationship. With the support of its members nationwide, AIPAC has worked with Congress and the Executive Branch on numerous critical initiatives — from securing vital foreign aid for Israel to stopping Iran’s illicit nuclear program.
