Committees are an essential part of the planning and scheduling agenda for the GW College Republicans. The current committees consist of the Publications Committee, the Public Relations Committee, the Political Affairs Committee, and the Membership Committee.
The Publications Committee oversees the writing of the CR-newsletter and “is charged with creating and distributing all materials for mass awareness,” including posters, Hatchet ads, signs, et cetera. If you are interested in signing up for this committee, please contact Jill Reavis.
The Public Relations Committee coordinates “all press releases distributed to the Administration, student organizations, and non College Republican print; community service and relations; and club-related verbal correspondence and communication.” The PR Committee is also responsible for coordinating all debates with groups like the College Democrats. If you are interested in joining, please contact Chris Wassman.
The Political Affairs Committee is primarily concerned with orchestrating political campaigns for Republican candidates and for inviting prominent conservative speakers to deliver talks to the GW community. The Political Affairs Committee is also responsible for organizing protests, rallies, and debates. If you are interested in contributing to this noble endeavor, please contact Victor Bogachev.
The Membership Committee is tasked with coordinating “the recruitment and involvement of new members,” especially through the planning of part unity initiatives and outings to develop a strong sense of community within the College Republicans. If you would like to help plan group events, please contact Amanda Galonek.
