GWCRs Denounce College Democrats President Cory Struble
George Washington University, Washington, DC- The GW College Republicans released the following statement:
Speaking on behalf of the College Democrats in comments made on WRGW Radio, GW College Democrats President Cory Struble said, “We want to seek to marginalize [College Republicans] as much as possible… we want to make sure that GW is an even more uncomfortable environment for Republicans and conservatives who seek to destroy our country.”
Public Relations Director Brandon Hines said, “If Mr. Struble thinks his comments are going to go unnoticed, or his intimidation unchallenged, he is terribly mistaken. Conservatives at GW will not be marginalized.” Chairman Brand Kroeger also said, “There is no place for such intolerant, bigoted comments, especially at a University–the pinnacle of the free exchange of ideas. Comments like Cory’s destroy our country.”
Chairman Kroeger continued by adding, “The College Republicans welcome everyone, from all walks of life and points of view, old and young alike, to share and express their views freely and unfiltered. It is disappointing that Mr. Struble believes otherwise.”

GW College Republicans Enthusiastically Endorse Palin for VP
George Washington University, Washington, DC- The GW College Republicans released the following statement:
In selecting Governor Sarah Palin, John McCain has made history in selecting a strong woman with more executive experience than Senators Obama and Biden combined, both of whom have never owned a business or managed anything, much less a country. Governor Palin has more accomplishments to her name as a Vice Presidential running mate than Barack Obama has as a Presidential candidate.
This selection only highlights which candidate represents REAL change. For the work of changing Washington and reforming government Barack Obama picked a Washington insider of 35 years. That’s not change we can believe in. Sarah Palin is an outsider, with real executive experience, who is a mother of five and in touch with the concerns and aspirations of everyday Americans.
Of her strong conservative credentials, Chairman Brand Kroeger said the following, “Governor Palin is a committed conservative with a record that speaks for itself. She is a pro-life, pro-gun governor and she will be an amazing Vice President.”
Sarah Palin is a fighter and a maverick in her own right who has challenged a corrupt political system in Alaska and has been a tireless advocate for reform—passing a landmark bill on ethics reform as Governor. She has taken on the old politics in Alaska and reformed the state’s energy industry, and rejects wasteful pork barrel spending.
The stories of John McCain and Sarah Palin inspire our nation. The GW College Republicans are proud and enthusiastic for the opportunity to campaign for the next President and Vice-President of the United States, John McCain and Sarah Palin.

GWCRs Denounce College Democrats
George Washington University, Washington, DC- The GW College Republicans released the following statement:
In a letter to their members, Matt Ingoglia, Communications Director for the GW College Democrats, said that Democrats supporting John McCain were “delusional,” “irrational”, “bitter and ignorant.” Unlike our counterparts, the College Republicans, and Republicans everywhere, support the right of every voter to choose a candidate not based on party labels, but on the merits of the candidate. On that count we have every reason to believe that this movement towards John McCain will continue.
Chairman Brand Kroeger, in response to Mr. Ingoglia, and in the wake of numerous letters from former Hillary Clinton supporters now turned John McCain supporters, said, “As a Republican, I support every individual’s decision no matter if that candidate is John McCain or Barack Obama. Demonizing private citizens who choose to support candidates infringes upon the sacred values of the democratic process. Criticizing public figures is one thing, but attacking and intimidating private citizens is a flawed and disgusting tactic.”
