Statement on Supreme Court Ruling on Affordable Care Act

Washington, D.C. – So it’s been ruled on: the individual mandate stands, but only under the label of a “tax.” While Democrats will cry victory, they are missing the big picture. President Obama has on multiple occasions defended the mandate on the basis that it is ‘not a tax’.

Condemn Attempt by Law School to Limit Speech

Washington, DC – In response to the Family Research Council speaking at the George Washington University Law School, a group within the Evening Law Student Association is attempting to ban “hate groups”, as defined by the Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti-Defamation League, from speaking to the George Washington University Law School. It is our belief that this is a misrepresentation of what constitutes hate speech and a violation of the freedom of expression foundational to college campuses.

Washington DC – Today the George Washington College Republicans are saddened by the loss of Andrew Breitbart, an influential conservative blogger who championed the conservative cause. Breitbart’s passing was announced on his website breitbart.com earlier this morning.
