Will Frey
Will proudly touts the fact that he is one of a handful of conservative Republicans who hails from New York City. Growing up in the midst of liberal government excesses taught him to distrust the statist paternalism propagated by the left.
Drawn to GW by the allure of the District’s political environment, Will joined the College Republicans and became active at every possible opportunity for the McCain-Palin ticket, going on deployments to Pennsylvania and Virginia to campaign.
In 2009, Will invested nearly every weekend of his fall into the McDonnell gubernatorial campaign, leading deployments to Alexandria, Fairfax and Lynchburg.
This will be Will’s second year on the Executive Board. He can’t wait to campaign in Florida for Marco Rubio and in Pennsylvania against Gov. Rendell’s Democratic machine. This year, he is looking forward to pummeling the College Democrats into submission at the annual football game, kicking tax-and-spend liberals out of office and advancing intellectual conservatism on campus.
Apart from the College Republicans, Will serves as Editor in Chief of The GW Patriot, a conservative and libertarian journal of politics and campus culture. He has interned for the DC Republican Committee, was a House Proctor in Thurston Hall and is an avid New York Mets fan, despite their losing tendencies.
When Will isn’t studying or fighting for the right cause, he enjoys running, golf, philosophy, and arguments against big-government tools.
