GW College Republicans

Growing up in one of New Jersey’s few conservative strongholds, Alex was not exactly living in a climate of fear, at least as long as he did not leave Morris County. But when straying outside the safe reach of Republican Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen’s tender wing, Alex had to fend for himself. Why, after years of living such a cloistered life, Alex decided to attend a university with at least a 2:1 Democrat to Republican ratio escapes him to this day. Must have been the Political Science Department.

But since Alex is here, he has decided to enact positive (a.k.a. conservative) change on campus. As Membership Director, he will convince uninformed students to switch their Party affiliation and inspire apathetic students to join the Republican cause; he will use recruitment as a tool to increase the CR’s campus presence; and he will strengthen camaraderie among the existing membership to foster a more mobilized, active, and engaged group of Republicans, leaders, and friends. While Alex realizes that GW will not be transformed overnight, he will do everything within his power to expand the Republican base and advance the Republican agenda on campus.

Alex’s favorite human beings include Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt and Clint Eastwood (especially after Gran Torino).
