Republicans Unite In Opposition To Obama Spending
We refuse to allow such immaturity to distract us from the real issues facing our country. As President Obama and the Democrats prepare to spend $900 billion on a liberal special-interest bailout, close Guantanamo Bay and threaten our security, sign into law the biggest redistribution of wealth in decades, and reverse years of pro-life abortion policy, the College Republicans remain solidly and unwaveringly committed to advancing the Republican agenda and opinion on our college campus.
Every Republican Congressman present and voting in the House of Representatives voted NO on President Obama’s and the Democrat’s $819 billion bailout plan Tuesday. For the first time since the 2008 election, the Republican Party has found a united voice in opposing the bailout bill, which includes billions in wasteful pork projects, handouts to traditionally liberal special interest groups, and too few tax cuts.
The GW Republicans will thus support this position by urging every member to call and email their Senators and tell them to vote NO on the bailout bill. The next days will be of crucial importance.
