GWCR’s Denounce Cross Desecration in Their Office

George Washington University, Washington, DC- The GW College Republicans released the following statement:

The College Republicans are outraged by the desecration of Christian symbols that occurred in our shared office with the College Democrats. These sacrilegious acts are offensive to people of all faiths and all political persuasions.

The College Republicans and the College Democrats have always shared and amicable working relationship. Regardless, the fact that this was allowed to happen on their watch, though unsanctioned, is a complete affront to the values the College Republicans represent and promote on campuses all across our nation.

We have been working with university officials every step of the way to resolve this issue to ensure that those responsible are brought forward.

Brief Synopsis: Early this week crosses used in a pro-Life display on campus and stored in the College Republicans office, were taken by a member of the College Democrats and desecrated in a highly disrespectful manner and left in our office.
