Senator Trent Lott
The George Washington University College Republicans are pleased to bring former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R – MS) to campus next Monday, October 20 to address an audience of G.W. students! Any and all interested students and faculty are invited and encouraged to attend. Business casual dress attire is encouraged, and please arrive 15 minutes early. No large bags or purses will be allowed into the hall.
Senator Trent Lott became Senate Majority Leader for the Republican Party in 1996, and served as either the Majority or Minority Leader of the Senate Republicans until 2003, when he voluntarily stepped down from his leadership role. He presided and shaped many of the sweeping Republican reforms of the late 1990s. He resigned his Senate seat in 2007, yet is still one of the most influential and respected conservative voices in Washington.
